Good News on Lexi

Lexi

For those of you who travelled Katie's 2008 you will know that Lexi was sadly taken back into hospital on her return from Italy as it was feared her cancer had returned

Hi shell

Just to let you know the surgery went well.

When they opened her up they found that the cyst in her ovary had burst and was tangled up in her fallopian tube which was wrapping itself around her ovary, so the surgeon un tangled it all, called in the radiographer to scan the ovary. What was left of the cyst they opened it up and found it was full of blood (apparently that’s a good sign !!) removed it all and have sent it off to the lab, so we should hear any day now the outcome, having said all that our oncologist Gary Nicolin is feeling very positive about it so we have everything crossed that it’s not cancer. As soon as I know anything I shall let you know. Thank you to you and the rest of the Katie’s ski track gang the get well cards have been  coming in thick and fast, which have really helped to cheer poor old Lexi up, bless her she is very low and fed up with having her beautiful body cut open and stabbed with needles. Having said all the operation went very well if not a little long 4 hours and I was getting frantic !! Luckily we had Mr Wheeler operating on her again and he really is the best the mans a perfectionist.

So thanks to you and Martin again I shall keep up updated.

Hi Shell, just to let you know we have had all the results back from the lab and Lexi is fine, the cancer has not returned, so it’s time for big celebrations.  Thank you to you all for your continued love and support.

Thank you both so much for the fabulous photos of Lexi I really love them. Yes of course feel free to put her ordeal on the news page, she is healing so well and looks amazing again.
